Dr. M. Ruhul Amin, Founder, President Emeritus, Chairman of the Board

Education:  BA (Hons), MA (Bangladesh), MA, DPA (Canada), MA, PhD. (USA)

Professional Accomplishments: Professor (Retired) of Management and International Business, Former Department Chair, MBA Director, Associate Dean, Assistant VP and Dean of Graduate Studies and Research, Director of Center for Management Development, and Director of AACSB Accreditation, Bloomsburg University, Pennsylvania, USA.

Beside Founding BAASANA in 2008, he founded ICIMS (Institute of Comparative and International Management Studies at Bloomsburg University, International Journal of Business and Applied Sciences, and International Review of Business and Applied Sciences. He also established several educational, human and spiritual institutions in Bangladesh with contributions from family members.  Some of these include: FHD (Foundation of Human Development).  Shamsunnahar Female High School, a Female Orphanage, several elementary schools, a public cemetery.

He had served as a Fulbright Management Specialist for the U.S. State Department (2008-13), Also had served as a visiting professor in India, Bangladesh, Taiwan, and China. Represented the U.S. in China, and USSR under the US the People-to-People Ambassador Program. Besides Bloomsburg University, he had taught at The University of Dhaka (the Premier University in Bangladesh), Carleton University (Canada), The University of Akron (Ohio), University of Wisconsin Center (Wisconsin).

He is a true internationalist and a pioneer in the global interdisciplinary movement with BAASANA as its forum. Under his leadership, the BAASANA organized over a dozen international conferences in the US and many overseas countries. He loves to travel and has visited over 45 countries of the world. Worked tirelessly for the development and establishment of BAASANA chapters in UK, Vietnam, India, Bangladesh and Malaysia. Several new chapters are in the formative stages. Beside English, he has working knowledge of several global and regional languages.

Dr. Amin had received several research grants and had published numerous scholarly papers in the reputed Management, and Business Journals, He had received the Best Paper Awards at several international conferences. Currently he has been serving as Editor in Chief for International Review of Business and Applied Sciences (IRBAS), and as the Founding Managing Editor of International Journal of Business and Applied Sciences (IJBAS).

At the invitation of the Vice Chancellor of the University, he has accepted an honorary appointment for a term of 3 years as the distinguished visiting professor, the University of Liberal Arts-Bangladesh ULAB).
